Office 97 Shortcut bar button Icons are black in color

Hello,

Recently I had to uninstall a program NOT related to my
office program...after the uninstall all of my shortcut
bar button Icons turned black...the shortcut bar is still
there and working fine but I can no longer see the Icon
image's the were there before example; the shortcut bar at
the top of my desk top use to show a "W" for word but now
it is just the color black...I tried to right click on the
black button that is the word shortcut and change the Icon
but it didnt work...

What is wrong and how can I change it back.
