Office 97 Shortcut bar Icons turned black in color

Hello,

I recently had to uninstall a program NOT related to my
Office program...after the uninstall all my Icons on the
office shortcut bar turned black in color...all the
shortcuts are working fine and the shortcut bar is still
working fine...the only problem is that the Icons are
black...I tried to right click the the now black button
for word and clicked to change Icon to one of the icon
images listed...I clicked applie than ok and still the
buttons are black in color...example the shortcut bar use
the have a "W" for word and now the button is still there
but black in color.

Can anyone help?
What happened? and how can I fix it?
