I have the Office 97 Shortcut bar set to autohide. About every other time when I boot up my Windows ME laptop, the Office 97 Shortcut bar appears, but does not autohide. When I place the mouse cursor over the shortcut bar, the cursor changes into an hourglass. At the same time, the taskbar (also set to autohide) is hidden and when I try to access it with the mouse cursor, the cursor also changes to an hourglass and the taskbar will not appear. When I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del, the Close Program window appears and indicates that the Microsoft Office Shortcut bar in not responding. Restarting the system solves the problem. Any ideas on why this is happening?
