Office 97 Small Bus Edition

I have the complete CD distribution from a previous
Desktop computer, it was bundled with it. That computer
is dead and gone, and I would like to install this on my
new laptop running XP. Is there a way to get the Product
Code?

No, OEM software lives and dies with the system that it came installed on.
You cannot transfer the software or the license to another machine.

|| The ID should be on the Jewel Case, if MS copy.
|| Possibly OEM copy as apposed to MS copy in which case maybe with
|| original paperwork?
|| Its been posted that you can use any valid MS Office97sbe id to
|| install so...
