Dear Sir/Madam,
I am attempting to install Office 97 SP1 on Windows 95
revision C on a Dell Optiplex GXa system which has a 300
MHZ Intel Pentium II processor in it.
At the end of the installation, and whenever I reboot, I
get the following error, as well as errors which seem to
reflect that all available virtual memory has been
consumed during operation of the programs comprising the
office suite such as Microsoft Word. Would you please
advise me on how to resolve this problem so that I might
succeed in installing and using Microsoft Office?
Note that I have already tried changing the virtual memory
management settings within system settings of the control
panel to explicitly allow virtual memory to grow up to 512
MB, followed by a reboot to ensure the setting took
effect, in addition to running the default of letting
Windows 95 decide how large to expand that file, with no
difference in results.
Thanks for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Mike Schulewski (732) 422-1293 (home) (973) 426-3035
