I work for a city government, i.e., Windows '98 and
Office '97. Ran a standard setup of Office '97 Pro on a
standard Win '98 PC and got the following:
1. The "successfully installed" message at the end.
2. PowerPoint works fine
3. Access, Excel, and word do not.
4. When you click on their icons (or the actual
executable files in the program folder)you get, "This
application must be installed to run. Please run setup
from the location where you originally installed the
application."
I uninstalled and reinstalled office from a different CD
with the same result.
Any ideas why one works and three do not?
Thanks,
