Office 97 to Office 2003

Going from Office 97 to Office 2003 should I remove Office 97 first and do a
fresh install of 2003? Or should I just upgrade? Does it matter either way?

Technically, it shouldn't matter. Personally, I prefer to uninstall the
old version and then install the new version. I have found "upgrades" to
be more problematic than fresh installs.
