Office 97 upgrade on xp

I am unable to get the Office 97 to load on my new
laptop. I have the Win XP home and had Works suite with
Word 2002 installed. On my old computer (that I have
since sold) I had the Works 2000 and Word and the Office
97 upgrade worked fine. Now it says it cannot find a
qualifying product. How can I get to to install on the
laptop?
