office 97 upgrade to office 2003

After upgrade two pcs (windows2000) from office 97 to office 2003, users
always encountered application not responding message or hang for few second
when try to save the doc in excel or word or when they do the copy and paste
in excel worksheet.


Any patch or any bug ?

Hi D.D.,

Did you remove Office 97 prior to upgrading to Office 2003? Did you change the location of the templates folder? Are you running
any add-ins, if so, were they also upgraded? Are you saving to a local drive or network folder?

Are you running an antivirus software that uses a plug-in to also look at Office files?
