Office 97 very slow

Hello,

i have Office 97 with SR2 here on about 400 computers.
I have 2 domains: Domain a and Domain b.
Depending on the domains the configuration of the computers change.
On Computers In domain a mcafee virus scan is installed.
On Computers in domain b symantec antivirus 9 is installed.
We migrate from domain a to domain b. That means that Mcafee is
deinstalled an symantec is installed.
On Every Computer where symantec is installed Office 97 gets very very
slow.
Does anyone know this problem?
Can anyone help me?

AFAIK, it is not just MS Office that is slowed down by Norton.. it slows
everything down.. Novice/new users often end up turning it off in an attempt
to speed up their systems.. not good..

Use anti-virus software from another vendor or source.
