Office 97, windows xp

I am looking to buy a new computer with Windows XP Home
edition, and I already own a copy of Office 97. Will
Office 97 run on the xp home platform?

our office just recently upgraded my computer with XP Pro
and sence that time I have had alot of problems with my
Office 97 freezing up and loosing data. I have to reload
the Office 97 about every 3 months. It will work for a
few months and then I'm back to the reload. Any ideas?
