office 97

I have upgraded to XP and other upgrades. Now my Office
97 will not load because it can't find any old required
software. How do I get around this obnoxious anti-piracy
feature?

Hi, Rick,

Your copy of Office 97 appears to be an "upgrade" and was obtained at
reduced pricing because you had a previously qualifying upgrade product (if
there was a way around it, everyone would buy upgrades, because they're
cheaper!). You'll need to find the installation media for a qualifying
product, such as Office 95, to provide when prompted.
