Office 98 Word opens documents as blank pages.

Hi all,

I'm running into a recurring problem with Word in Office 98 for Mac. I
have OS 9.2.2 and when I open documents with Word they open only as
blank pages. These are documents that had previously opened normally
with all the text and formatting in tact. However after a few weeks
the documents will open up blank when you reopen them. This problem
doesn't happen on other Mac's with Office 98 so it seems to be this
particular Mac. I've tried updating Office 98 with the downloads from
Mactopia including the Microsoft Word 97-98-2000 Converter but still
run into the same problem.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 98 and it seems
to work the first few times opening documents but if you try reopening
them at a later date they will open up blank.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance!

That sounds like a memory problem. Try lifting your Preferred memory to 48
MB and see if that makes a difference.
