Office Accounting Express crashes on backup

I am running OA Express 2008, clean install with a new company (no real data) on Vista Ultimate (updated).

It crashes "Needs to shutdown" everytime I attempt to backup data. When this happens, it gives the following error:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: OfficeAccounting2
Problem Signature 01: 3.0.8627.1
Problem Signature 02: TypeInitializationException
Problem Signature 03: WorkerThreadStart
Problem Signature 04: GetDriveType
Problem Signature 05: 79f0be71
Problem Signature 06: 409
Problem Signature 07: 1
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
LCID: 1033

I had the exact same problem with OA Express 2007 prior to upgrading.

I am trying to run the "integrate with outlook BCM" but the wizard fails and program closes at the first step (when it tries to backup).

I have attempted to relocate the backup files on different drives, the default settings, manually, with and without outlook running, after clean installs, and after reboots. No effects. Please help!

Hi,

Did anyone ever find an answer to this?

I have just installed the 2009 version on a Vista PC and am having
exactly the same problem.

I was advised that it may be associated with Network drives being
present on the PC, but I don't have any neworked drives!

All comments and ideas welcome!
