Office Activation Wizard

Alex

I've just installed Office 2003 upgrade on top of a trial version, but it
only runs in reduced functionality and nothing happens when clicking on
'Activate product'. I've tried uninstalling the original trial and deleting
the opa11.dat file as suggested in 823527, but still not able to activate.
Any thoughts?

You can't "upgrade" a trial version. You need a full version to upgrade.

My computer also has a full version of Works 7.0 installed, which is listed
as one of the products suitable to upgrade from, so I'm still not clear why
it won't work. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I would suggest calling MS. They have free support for installation
problems. It's not a toll-free call but it's better than no help at all.
(This is assuming you are in the US.)

I can't seem to find the non-toll free number for installation problems. I
live in Seattle. Do you know the number, or know where I can find it on
microsoft's website?
Thanks,
D

There is an 800 number but I will tell you that it will be answered by
someone who speaks English as a second language. Go to the page I've listed
and call that number.
