Office Admin Installs

C

Carlos M. Perez

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to have all versions of Office in the same
directory. Basically, if a client has Office 2003 Pro, Office 2003
Standard, Outlook 2003, Office XP Premium, can they all co-exist in
e:\ClientApps\Office? Not \Office\XPPro, \Office\XPStd, etc. All the
STD11.msi, PRO11.msi, OWC11.msi, STD10.msi would be in teh same directory.

TIA,

Carlos.

Hi Carlos,

Basically, no. An Office Admin Point for Office 2000, Office XP or Office 2003 requires a MS Volume License key/media to allow you
to create the Office Admin Installation point using Setup /A.

Each Admin Point should match to a single licensed product (version and edition and language).

(FWIW the last version of OFfice to hae a premium edition was Office 2000).

Office 2007 will be different in that you *can* create a single Office Network Installation Point (oNIP) for multiple Office 2007
(but not earlier edition) Office products
