Office appearence changes when switching to dual monitors

On machines were we have added an additional monitor, the appearence of
Office changes.

It goes from a standard XP look to one that is similiar to a win98
environment (brown with no enhancements).

We swapped out video cards with no effect. Some of the machines in question
have vid cards that are easily capable of running office with dual monitors.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Presumably OfficeXp?
You have installed video drivers from the video manufacturers sites, and not
via winupdate?
Are you using dual monitor support as supplied by the video drivers or are
you using WinXp to supply this?

I have run both Office2k and Office2003 on win2k & Winxp with dual monitors
but have only ever used the video drivers for dual functionality (Nvidea,
ATI & Matrox) and never seen this problem

Its Office2003 and we have the latest video drivers from the manufacturers
website.

It is happening on multiple machines running NVidea and ATI cards.

I am having the same problem. Dell computers and monitors. Office 2003 and
2007. ATI and NVidia cards. Have applied all windows updates, office updates
and latest mfr driver updates. Traded emails with NVidia tech support for a
while, they just gave up and quit responding. It only happens in dual mode.
Single, clone and span all appear fine. Also if i remote in to a computer
with dual monitors set up from a single monitor pc office appears fine. Have
you found a solution?
