Office Applications Asking for CD

Has anyone else been plagued by this misfortune?

Office 2000 Professional running on Windows 2000
Professional Service Pack less than 4. Upon upgrade to
SP4 Office applications will not open and are asking for
the installation media.

If you put the media in it will continue and open. Take
the media out, close the application and open again it
opens fine. Close the application, reboot and it opens
fine again. But as soon as the user of the laptop is out
on the road the chaos starts all over again. Asking for
CD's.

We have about 10 PC's doing the same thing.

Any Ideas???

Someone Please!!!

There must be others out there having this very same
thing happen. Not sure weather it is a service pack 4
issue or a msblaster fix issue. But is is really
starting to get on my nerves.

We can fix it here and it keeps coming back as if it were
on a timer or something...

Thanks in advance for and info. At least confirm that
there is a problem and someone is working on it!!!
