Office applications hang sometimes

I have a strange problem. When opening documents like spreadsheets o
Outlook messages, *sometimes * the Office (2003) will hang and won
even let me force out the hanging application in the Task Manager. CP
utilization meter shows 1-2% and the mouse pointer is an hour-glass
Nothing happens. I can't log off, switch user, restart, nothing. I hav
to physically turn off the power and reboot the computer. I have all th
latest updates installed for the Office and Windows. Using XP Pro.
Any ideas where to look?

Bump has no meaning or use here in news groups, and unfortunately you
didn't bother to quote any part of the original. If no one answered the
original, I would suggest you start over with a new thread, and add more
info as to the problem was.
