Office Assistant error

I keep getting this error every time I open Outlook or Word.

OFFICE ASSISTANT

There are no Office Assistant files present on this system. Please run Setup
in Maintanence Mode and install at least one character.

What does this mean? How do I fix it?

Our company was upgraded to Microsoft Office today. I don't have a disc to
insert. Is there another way to repair this issue?
