Office Assistant Gallery in Office Mac 2004

My "Office Assistant" is a computer monitor, When I click on it to
select a different "Office Assistant" I find that my Office Assistant
Gallery has only that option. Are more options available like in the
Windows version?

That's true, extra assistants are not included with Office 2004. However,
if you happen to have an earlier version of Office that did include
additional assistants, simply insert the old version's CD, navigate to
Office CD/Value Pack/Assistants, and copy the assistant(s) you want to
HD/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Assistants. They'll then
become available to you.

Hi David,

As Mickey pointed out - the Office Assistants from version X work just fine
in Office 2004.

Check this URL every once in a while to see if they become available for
download:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx

No promises, but it would make sense for them to become available there some
day.

Thank you both for the helpful responses. I thought perhaps something
was wrong with the installation of the program on my computer but now
I see everything is fine. I do have the prior program but I like to
keep everything as simple as possible because I just had to reformat
my HD and reload everything.

I really like the new Office. The notebook feature is especially
useful and easy to use. I also like the cool way the formatting menu
and scrapbook appear and disappear. I don't really understand how to
use scrapbook yet. I gather it's like a big clipboard?

Kind of a turbocharged clipboard - Not only can you store more items,
but you can assign each item to a project or category and sort/filter
them, or assign keywords to make finding items easier.
