I doubt it is missing. You probably need to update your graphics driver and
clean out your HDD after so many aborts.
Do a fresh start of your computer (don't open any applications) and then use
Windows Explorer to go straight to Documents and Setting/username/local
settings/temp and delete everything in that folder. It is the system temp
folder and should be empty; however, everytime your Word has closed it will
have left temp files abandoned in the folder and other applications often
leave their temp garbage behind as well.
Then go to the Internet support site for your graphics card manufacturer and
see if they have a newer driver than your current driver. Download and
install.
Test Word again.
