Office Assistant problem

After installing an update for Office 2000 SR1 my prefered Office Assistant
keeps reverting back to the default Paper Clip every time I reboot...very
annoying.

Anyone have a 'fix' or work-around?

First thing I would do is make sure I had the latest SP which is SP 3 for
Office 2000 as you are on SP 1 according to your post

and any later updates and see if that solves your issues with the OA.

Thanks for the suggestion. I installed SP3 but the results are still the
same. Anything else?
