Hi -
We have recently upgraded Outlook to 2003 but left Office 2002 on the
computers. We are having an issue with the Office assistant character between
the two versions and was wondering if anybody out there is having the same
problem. If you set up your office assistant (not clippy) in Outlook, then
set one up in say Excel (again, not clippy). Close Excel, close Outlook, Open
Excel and you should see: There are no Office Assistant character files
present on the system. Please run Setup in Maintenance mode and install at
least one character. If you have Outlook open, things work ok usually. Once
you get the message, you are reverted to clippy or no assistant. This is
driving my customers nuts as they really like the office characters.
Any assistance would be greatly apprecitated.
