I have installed Office 2000 (academic version)
(Australia). When I try to turn on the office assistant, I
get a message stating that I need "the office assistant
requires microsoft agent 2.0 or later, this product is
available on the office system pack". this is very
annoying as each time I activate any functionality which
uses the assistant I get the above message. Iteven pops up
when I activate the toolbar facility.
Despite many attempts to locate the file and even re-
install Office 2000, I still cannot activate the office
assistant. It is possible that this version of Office 2000
does not have the functionality, however this was not
stated on the product labelling.I am currently running
Windows 98 SE and I do not want to upgrade Windows at this
time.can yoiu advise of how I can obtain the file/s for
the office assistant, or how I can fix the problem.
