Office Attachment "message has not been sent", frozen screen, sent

When I am in an Office 2007 application (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and opt to
send mail from within so the document is an attachment, the email window
stays frozen on my screen after hitting send. But the email is in my sent
items, and the receiver does receive the message. Any idea why the snapshot
of the screen remains? I can click on the "X" to close the snapshot no
problem, but it should disappear automatically after sending. Any ideas?

I had this EXACT same problem and posted to this EXACT same board and never
had a reply from anyone! I applied all of the updates at the time with no
luck. I searched endlessly on the internet with no luck. I decided to check
back today to see if there was a response and found your post.

It appears to me that this was a small bug in Office as recently, I applied
the recently released service pack and updates for Office and it seems to
have fixed the problem.

I hope that this at least provides you some info and will work for you the
way it worked for me!
