Office Bar is missing

H

Howard Brazee

I am not finding my office bar in one of my computers.

Bob Buckland suggesed I try running MSOffice.exe, but it is not on either of my
XP computers, nor with my wife's which came with Office installed. I do have it
on my work W2K computer.

My Startup folder contains "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.exe"
-b -l

But nothing happens. When I try to run OSA9, nothing happens. My other
computer has an office bar that works fine. Both computers have the same
version of Office 2000.

My video card has two outputs to two monitors:

1. Korea Data Systems Visual Sensation VS-7/VSx-7 on NVIDEA GeForce4
2. Sony GDM 400PS/400ST/19PS on NVIDEA GeForce4 MX 440

In Office XP, the Office Shortcut bar is not installed by default. If you do
not find it in Programs\Microsoft Office Tools, try running setup again and
install it from the Tools folder.

In my Office XP, OSA*.* is OSA.exe.

I'll try again. I guess I had better remove my shortcuts first. I am pretty
sure it worked before I upgraded my video card for two monitors though.

Oh?

I do not know if upgrading your video card would effect the Office Shortcut
bar. IMO, it should not.

If you did have it before, open and Office application and go to Help,
Detect and Repair. If you had installed the Office Shortcut bar, detect and
repair should restore it.
