OFFICE BETA UNISTALL

Michael

I downloaded the 2007 Office beta, tried it for a few days, and then decided
to unistall it...now when I try to open Outlook for Office 2003 I get this
error message...

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong
version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.
Please reinstall Outlook."

....which I did; however, I continue to receive this error message. Any help
on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the MAPI32.DLL file then reinstalling Office 2003?

In some cases, uninstalling 2007 and 2003, rebooting and then
reinstalling 2003 helped.
If you have to delete the file, you probably have to do so in Safe Mode
as Windows just replaces it once you deleted it.

Yes...I went into safe mode and deleted the MAPI32.DLL....rebooted and
reinstalled Office 2003...rebooted again...and still I continue to recieve
the same error message.

Did you also delete or rename MSMAPI32.dll?
