Jake

its Office system 2007 programs with the ribbon UI

when i double click on the office button the program shuts down !!! and that
if there is no changes done to the document im working on !

if there is some changes made then it askes be to save-not save - cancel..
exactly like what happen when i hit the X at the very top right corner of the
window !!!

so my question is ,, is that a secret hidden feature of just a bug that im
suffering from ?!

Hi Jake,

Being able to close a Windows app by double clicking on the top left corner isn't something new to Office 2007, but it may be more
'noticable' with such a large item in the top left corner and that the single click menu choice brings up the 'make a selection of
things to do' menu in Word 2007, including an 'Exit' button, rather than use the "traditional (Windows 3.1)" 'box'/small icon for
'launch System menu' on the top left that when single clicked (or opened with Alt+Spacebar, brings out the
'Restore/Move/Size/Minimize/Maximize/Close) choices.

That keyboard shortcut still works.

One person's feature is another person's bug. Whatever your judgement in this case it was a design choice by Microsoft to change
from

to what you see now. :)
