How can I repair this?

First, you almost never solve a Mac application problem by uninstalling
or reinstalling - apps just don't corrupt very often. If you uninstall
Office, you should ensure that you use the Remove Office application to
remove both the applications and the preference and support files, which
do corrupt occasionally.

However, since you have, a couple of suggestions:

1) Make sure your system is updated with the latest MacOS X update.
There have been several problems with Office that have cleared up when
the update was run/rerun.

2) Make sure you repair disk permissions (using the Disk Utility
application).

3) You don't say which version of Office you're using, but you should
run Remove Office, reinstall (drag and drop should be fine), then
download and install the latest Office updater.

4) Repair disk permissions again after running the update.

5) Open an Office app.

If that doesn't solve the problem, post back with more detail on the
results of the above, and what version of Office you're using.

Still the same problem:

1. MacOsX software is up to date: 10.4.9
2. I have repaired disk-permissions
3. I am using office 2004 for mac. When I run Remove Office I get the
same kind of message:
The application "Remove Office" could not be launched because of a
shared library error:
"<RemoveOffice><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"
4. After downloading the office-update I get the same message: The
application "Office 2004 11.3.5 Update" could not be launched because
of a shared library error:
"<BaseInstaller><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_OSServices><>"
5. I still can not open any application from the office suite

Any suggestions?

One suggestion:

1) Delete the Microsoft Office 2004 folder
2) Delete the ~:Library:preferences:Microsoft folder (where
~ is your home directory).
3) Run the Remove Office application from your Installation CD.
4) Reinstall and update...

If that doesn't work, it still sounds more like a system problem to me,
given that the CFM (Code Fragment Manger) is blowing up. But I'm
definitely not an expert.

If that's the case, the easiest course of action is an Archive and
Install of the system. You won't lose anything in your user folder as
long as you choose the Preserve setting.

First try downloading the combo updater from Apple and run it again rather
than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing
files. Use "Remove Office" and re-install and update Office. If this does
not work, you will need to do an Archive & Install of the OS.
