Office Clipboard no longer working

Why is my Office Clipboard no longer working? Basic Copy and Paste actions
work (i.e. the system clipboard is okay), but the Office Clipboard does not
automatically display, there is no taskbar icon, and when I open the
clipboard manually (Edit|Office Clipbard) the task panel opens but there is
nothing on it.
