Office clipboard settings resetting

In Office 2003, specifically in Excel, the settings for the Office Clipboard
keep getting reset. It's going to make me nuts. The clipboard keeps coming
up, and I keep shutting it off. The changes only last while logged into
Windows, but are reset sometime between logoff and logon. Specifically,
turning off the option to "Show Office Clipboard Automatically" keeps
getting reset.

Any suggestions to kill it permanently?
