Office Communicator 2005 without Outlook?

We use Lotus Notes. Can OCS 2005 be used without having Outlook installed, if
all we are using is IM, desktop sharing, application sharing and perhaps
videocam?

We're thinking of it as a help desk tool, rather than a conferencing tool.

I would suggest asking in a forum supporting Office Communicator, or
contacting Microsoft Sales directly. This is a peer support forum for
Microsoft Access databases; nobody from Microsoft (particularly not from
Sales) is likely to see your message here.
