Office components start up problem

I installed Office 2000 and when I klick on Word or Excel
or Power point it shoots a message, which is

The feature you are trying to use is a CD-ROM or other
removal disk that is not available. Insert MS Office 2000
SR-1.

I am suspecting I need to change some thing in the
registry. I like to remove office and install it again.

Any help, is greatly appreciated.
