I've a network with folder redirection enabled (application data, desktop
and my documents are on a share as \\server\users\username\....).
All works fine, but office 2003 does crash when users use it. For example,
if I start word, write something on a new file, and try to select "Save",
word crashs.
If I open an existing file, edit it, and save, all works.
I think it's something related to default my documents folder, and/or to
application data. However is not a permission issue, because user has full
control on redirected folders.
Plese note that if I create a new user with folder redirectione enabled,
access the pc as this user, and start Word, msi installer (that is trying to
personalize user's data folders I think), has and error. The only way I can
start word is creating the user without folder redirection, logon as the new
user, start word, and then move the user under the OU where folder
redirection is enabled. However, after this, I have the big problem as
described above, so I cannot user any office program.
Then issue is the same as
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...rash+redirected&rnum=1&hl=en#5517c9a7731bb3a2
I also have a lot of networks with this configuration, and all work.
However I didn't find any solution or KB article related to this issue. Any
help?
thanks
