I have been using Office v.X for a couple of years now on my Powerbook.
Recently, and all of a sudden, i cannot open any Office app. when i am
trying to work at home. This has been on and off (maybe) for 2-3
weeks. The only thing that has changed in that time is that my office
relocated - just across the street - no biggie, and did NOT involve the
creation of any new networks or servers or shared apps or etc. The
other relatively new issue is that when i started using the Powerbook
as my sole computer (i had had a G4 tower as my office machine,
previously, until about 8 weeks ago), i put a monitor on my desk, and
now use dual monitors (incl the laptop's) when at work.
But this crashing problem started AFTER all that. It maybe started in
conjunction with us moving the office, but maybe not. What could it be
about plugging the Powerbook in at work that makes Office work just
fine, but at home it does not work? In other words, when i am at the
office, i always and immediately hook up to the ethernet server
connection, and etc. At home, if i need the server i of course have to
access over the internet.
and ideas? thanks
