Office Document: Saving Challenge

Chris

Is there a method of not having the ownership of a word, excel change when a
member makes changes to it?

Due to poor planning of the server when it was setup, our quota is applied
to our "common area" and our user profiles because they belong to the same
Volume.

I have been using subACL to change the ownership of the file to
Administrator every night - we just have had some issues where someone has
been working on a file and unable to save it (even to the desktop of the
personal machine) until we have upped the persons quota to get over the
hickup.

Sadly, we are still behind the times and using Office 2000 Pro.

Any idea's would be usefull.

Hi Chris,

This isn't an MS Office issue, per se, but is a network/server OS problem. That's what's managing the file 'ownership' regime.
