Office Documents Do Not Print; All Other Applications Do Print

I have not been able to print in Office applications since I recently
replaced my old notebook (WinXP Pro, MS Office XP Pro) with a new
notebook (WinXP Pro, MS Office 2003 Pro). I print through a shared
printer on a wireless network. All applications except MS Office 2003
print fine. Other applications that print OK include IE 6, MS Streets
and Trips, Adobe Photoshop, etc. When I try to print in any MS Office
application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or even Outlook), the
application hangs every time. I get the following message except the
application name changes depending on the Office application.

Message is: Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The information you were working on might be lost. Microsoft Office
Word can try to recover it for you. . . . .

"Just-In-Time Debugging states: An exception 'Unhandled Win32
Exception' has occurred in WINWORD.EXE." (Or whatever app is in use.)

OS: WinXP Pro (Up to date on updates)
App: MS Office Pro 2003 SP 2

Print server is WinXP Pro. I don't think it is relevant, but the
printer is an HP Color LaserJet 2600n.

I have tried doing a repair on Office to no avail. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill

Try updating your printer drivers. I've learned that Word can be almost as
picky about printer drivers as Publisher is.

Thanks for the response. I tried earlier to do the driver update and
it failed(?). I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Thanks again.
