Wouldn't it be great if you opened an Office Document, and it had tabs on the
bottom just like Excel? You could right-click on the tab and choose what
that specific tab should be (document, spreadsheet, powerpoint). Therefore,
you would have only one shortcut on your desktop for "Microsoft Office" and
opening it would open a new project file. I'm often working on projects that
needs a document for explanation, a spreadsheet with a budget, and then a
powerpoint for the presentation. It would be nice if these were held in one
file. And then I could click between my presentation and my budget without
having 3 different programs running at the same time. I would settle for just
WORD and EXCEL being together in this format. I know that you can link to
Excel from Word, but if someone moves the source file the links no longer
work. If the document and spreadsheet were actually the same file, then you
wouldn't have to worry about changing the source file accidentally.
