I put my MS Office Enterprise 2007, OEM version, disc in the DVD drive and
keep getting the error message "Please place disc in drive" or something like
that. My DVD drive is not recognizing that there is a DVD in the drive. I
have tried other DVD's, movies, back-up's that I've made and other DVD
software and have no problem with that drive recognizing those DVD's. I even
used a DVD drive cleaning disk but that had no affect. I took my Office
Enterprise 2007 to a local computer company and it was recognized on their
DVD drives so I know the disk is good. I am using an NEC DVD/CD combo drive,
ND 3550A, with the latest firmware installed. I have Office 2000 already
installed on my PC and was told that I need to uninstall that prior to
installing Enterprise 2007. I cannot see where that would make any difference
from what I've read online about the install process of Office Enterprise
2007.
Any thoughts on this?
