office enterprise 2007 word

just installed office enterprise 2007 on my microsoft xp system. When I open
word I get : application alert : could not perform the requested function. If
I click the document that I was trying to open one more time it will open.
Has anyone experienced this before? Have tried doing a repair with no change.
