I keep getting the message

"A document with the name "XXXXX" is already open. You
cannot open two documents with the same name, even if the
documents are in different folders. To open the second
document, either close the document thats currently open,
or rename one of the documents."

this keeps coming up even when I have closed the document
and then reopened it. this happens on some, but not all
files. any suggestions.

I'm not sure how to fix this but I am having the same
problem!! If I open a file in Word, close it and try to
get back in later it either locks up my computer or says
that the file is already open elsewhere - even though it
is not. This happens to me in Excel as well and the only
way to get to the file is to reboot the computer. If you
find an answer I would appreciate you sending it on to
me!! (e-mail address removed)
