Office feature? (Task Launcher)

I want to convert my boss over from MS Works to Office 2003 (PRO). He is NOT
very comfortable with computers and uses the Works Task Launcher quite a bit.
I don't think he'd be able to find existing documents using the "Open File"
process and forget about him using Explorer to to search through
Drives/Directories/Folders/etc. to locate a file.

Does Office have a feature similar to the WORKS Task Launcher? I use OFFICE
at home but can't seem to find anything like a Task Launcher.

Any help would be appreciated.

In Office 2003, there is a Quick Launch Bar. In earlier Office
versions, there is an Office Shortcut Bar. See
