Office for MAC and Sharepoint

I'm new to MACs so please pardon my ignorance. I have a customer who
has a mixture of about 70% PC and 30% MAC. They have All the latest
software (Server 2003, WSS) We would like to start integrating the
MAC workstations with the document management features of WSS (And
SPS). I'm looking for some limitations that I may encounter ahead of
time and if this was even possible to do with the new version of
Office for MAC.

Thanks in advance

Hi Michael!

Currently, none of Office for Mac, including 2004, supports Windows
SharePoint Services integration.

Until this new technology takes a stronger hold in the Windows world it
will most likely not be incorporated into the Mac version. There's
simply not demand for it yet.

Long before the release of Office 2004 there was a lot of discussion and
concern about DRM being integrated into Office for Windows and how it
would be supported on the Mac platform. To date, the use of DRM in the
Windows world hasn't greatly caught hold but we should definitely keep
watch on what happens. I would be satisfied with a "reader" version for
Mac similar to the Windows version.

As always, please express your wish using the Help menu found in each
Office application. I'll never say never. d;-)

Hope this helps! bill
