office for mac applications wont launch

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

all office products are giving error message and wont launch.....i have seen this posted before...what is the problem?

Not to be snide, but if you've seen the issue posted you also should have
seen the replies that provide the solutions Try those solutions to see
which works for you.

There has been no singular cause identified because it is typically a matter
of individual system configuration. Keep in mind that what you are
witnessing is actually a "symptom" of whatever the problem is that may be
causing it ‹ just like pain is a symptom which can be caused by any number
of actual afflictions.

I have been researching on this forum and others but none of the solutions seem to work for me. This is the error message that I receive:

Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/MicrosoftComponentPlugin.framework/Versions/12/MicrosoftComponentPlugin
Referenced from: /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Microsoft Word.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft Word
Reason: image not found

I noticed that previous solutions for this error did not pertain to me so I am lost as to what to do.

I ran the Disk Utility and completed a Permission Repair but it didn't help me at all.

Any help would be great!

The Microsoft Component Plugin is the one file that shows the update. It
sounds like this file is missing/corrupted indicating a bad install.

Steps to re-install Office

You might need to use "Remove Office" instead of the drag to trash option.
