office for mac has determined my product key is not valid

I just installed office mac 08 from disc and when I try to use any of the programs a message that my product key is not valid comes up. I have followed instructions to remove, then installed again, but same problem. help?

Have you considered that maybe your product key really is invalid? Where did
you get the disc? Are you sure you are entering the key correctly? B and 8
as well as some other characters are easily confused.

Hi Bob, I purchased office mac 08 at London Drugs... have examined key for errors on my part, and re-entered just to be sure. But nope...no luck. e...any other ideas?

Can you verify that your copy of Office came in a Microsoft box with a
DVD clearly printed as a Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac DVD and that the
key you're entering is on a yellow printed label on the back of the DVD
sleeve?

If not, then you have probably purchased a pirated copy and the key has
been disabled by Microsoft.

If you have all the original packaging that clearly proves what you've
purchased is an official copy of Office then you'll need to contact
Microsoft for assistance.
