Office Genuine Advantage again

B

Brian Gaff

Hi, now here is a strange one. The machines which had the problem
mysteriously downloaded a new oga patch the other day which made it legal
again. Methinks someone screwed it up on the first update.
Question is, how does it know which machines needed the patch. No indication
on the description that it was a fix though. Just said its usual stuff about
keeping it genuine etc.

Strange.

It's MAGIC! ;-)

When you have auto updates set, which is a good thing to make sure
your system runs as it should, the system will be checked with code to
see what it needs and then will either update it for you or ask your
permission first...depending on the options you have set.
