Office Home and Student 2007 Activation Problem

I purchased the Home and Student version and keyed in the Product Key when
asked. I am not able to access any of the Suite softwares. I ran a
disagnostic and received this message "Microsoft Office Home and Student
2007: Product Not Activated[0x80180101] "

Please let me know how to activate my new software.

What happens when you select Activate?

I never get the activate command. All I get is the request for the product
code and then the cd starts downloading the software. The icons are are on
my desktop, but I can not get any of them to startup.

The CD is out of the drive now and the software will still not activate.

The CD is out of the drive now and the software will still not activate.

So you click on the Word icon (say) and what happens?

Maybe you have a duff install. Uninstall, do a disk cleanup, reboot and do a
new install.
