Office Home and Student 2007 and Quicken Premiere 2008 problem

recently I purchased quicken 2008 and was doing an QIF import. the computer
locked up and quicken launcher would no longer work. Quicken help line told
be uninstall quicken and reinstall. when I did, Office Home and Student
would no longer work...it gave an error saying that "ms not installed for
this user". Quicen told me to uninstall both Quicken and MS and then install
MS first and then Quicken. Now MS gives me an erro 25005.config.xml not
specified error. I'm frustrated with these interactions between
programs...any ideas.
