Office Home and Student 2007 - CD installation hang-up

My installations CD runs fine through configuration, then nothing happens!
The screen closes down after stating "Microsoft Home and Student 2007
configuration has completed successfully". I have a new HP dv6000 laptop
computer with Vista.

What do you want to happen? You don't specify what you want to happen.

If the installation is "completed successfully" the programs should have
been installed on the computer. You now need to click Start/Programs and
find the Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) on the menu that
appears.

If you can't find them you should see a folder called Microsoft Office and
if you highlight that item the programs should also appear.

the same thing happened to me. says it was completed successfully but the
programs are not on my computer. it also never asked me for the product key
number. I have the 60 day trial version of vista that is getting ready to
run out and I need to figure this out.
